The Somerset County Board of Freeholders will join Vanguard Energy Partners of Branchburg in unveiling a newly installed solar array at the Somerset County/Bridgewater Library on TUESDAY, SEPT. 13, at NOON. 

Also in attendance will be members of the Somerset County Improvement Authority, which issued the bonds for the project, as well as local legislators and representatives from the library, Bridgewater Township and the consulting firms involved in the project.

The library’s panels are part of the first phase of a countywide solar-energy program that is nearing completion.  A total of 31 public-sector locations are having solar panels installed as part of the taxpayer-neutral initiative; the cost will be recouped through the sale of energy credits.
