According to Holidays on the Net, today is officially Ballet Day. And so, because your Bridgewater Patch editor is a 15-year student of ballet, we are asking for a little indulgence as today we give you five places to honor your inner dancer with classes in ballet and other such forms of dance in the area.

• Premiere Dance Academy of Bridgewater—The studio opened in 2010 on Route 202, and provides a variety of classes, including ballet, jazz and tap for all ages.
• Gotta Dance—Located on Washington Valley Road in Martinsville, the studio offers classes in ballet, jazz, modern, tap and other forms of dance.
• New Jersey Youth Ballet—Located on Jill Court in Hillsborough, the company is for children ages 5 to 18, and they work with staff on preparing performances, regardless of how much previous experience they have.
• The Dance Express—With a studio in Warren, The Dance Express offers opportunities for both serious students and those looking for a hobby with ballet, tap, hip hop and more.
• Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Morristown—A personal favorite [because I take classes there myself], this studio offers something a little different, with every kind of ballroom dancing [like rumba, salsa and waltz], taught through group classes, private lessons and parties.
