Apple Stores Closed for Jobs Memorial
The one in the Bridgewater Commons Mall closed for two hours Wednesday.
Did you pass by the Apple Store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall at 1 p.m. Wednesday and see curtains draped in front of the windows, and a sign saying it would reopen at 3 p.m.?
Were you confused by the temporary closing of the store?
If so, you weren't alone. According to nj.com, the store in the mall, as well as many others across the country, closed for two hours Wednesday so employees could watch a live webcast of a memorial service for Steve Jobs at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, CA.
Jobs died of pancreatic cancer Oct. 5. Shoppers at the Apple Store praised the late innovator for changing the face of technology, and the way people work.
