BRHS Earns Top Honors at Marching Band Competition

The band earned the highest overall score of all bands competing.

Saturday marked week three of the USBANDS 2012 high school competition season, including a Gold Star competition in Piscataway, and Bridgewater-Raritan took home top honors.

The Piscataway competition included bands from Bridgewater-Raritan, Immaculata, Hillsborough, Somerville and other high schools around the region.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School marching band won its group, and also won the “Mayor’s Trophy” for the highest overall score of all the bands competing.

The Bridgewater-Raritan band next takes the field in competition at the USBANDS Yamaha Cup, at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 13.
