As many residents enter the fourth day without power in Bridgewater, tensions are high with some wondering when it will return.
Denise DeRose Meyer said on the Bridgewater Patch Facebook Page that she doesn't understand why the process is taking so long for some, but not for others.
"Why is the North Branch area of town without power for so long?" she said. "I lost it for four days in the ice storm last year and now again on day four, yet other ares of town have had power since Tuesday."
According to the numbers as of 10 a.m. Friday, a total of 2,038 JCP&L customers are still without power, down from 2,180 Thursday.
Representatives from JCP&L have said that the majority of customers will be restored by Nov. 7, with those in the hardest-hit areas to be restored throughout the following week.
And according to the power company's website, a large number of customers will not be able to receive power until damaged roads, infrastructure and homes are rebuilt.
PSE&G is still reporting that between 5,001 and 10,000 customers are without power, showing no change from Thursday.
The company is forecasting that the power will be back within the next seven to 10 days, but the majority will be restored before then. Those isolated groups of customers with individual flooding or downed line issues might see a longer wait.
Residents in Martinsville near Vosseller Avenue have said they are still without power at this point, as well as Crim Road and surrounding streets.
Residents in the Van Holten and Hillside areas are still without power, but residents on Donahue Road and Vosseller Avenue are reporting they have finally gotten it back.
"No power in Branchburg near North Branch either, no gas for miles," said Debbie Oley Zelasny on Facebook. "[It is] very depressing especially when you have little ones at home. I know others have it worse, we are grateful for what we have. It's just frustrating."

In the neighborhood off of Vosseler (Hillcrest, Stangle, Emerald Trail, Mariam, etc) I saw a man from PSE&G walking down the streets recording the damages (and I would assume the necessary work that needs to be done). I did not see any utility trucks through. There is a tremendous amount of damage on Hillcrest with power lines down and tangled in huge, fallen trees. I think it is going to be quite some time until this neighborhood gets its power back. There is just soooo much work that needs to be done. I guess we all just have to be patient and help each other out when ever we can.

What is PSE&G doing on Bradley lane?? People in Milltown and Raritan have power but us in the Bradley gardens area esp Bradley lane are still dark. When people from our area called PSE&G says that they were not aware of our outage .... That is the most ridiculous comment I have heard so far !!

I called PSE&G to get a status update. They said they would get back to me on November 9th. I have yet to see a PSE&G truck anywhere in the Martinsville area. Hope the PUC remembers this when they ask for a rate increase!

I get that this is an inconvenience and its horrible for anyone home with little kids or for older residents. When you do get a chance to see what happened on the Jersey shore, you will thank your lucky stars....

I think we are lucky in that it could have been worse; hang in there folks; I too without but see progress every day; have my father-in-law here who cannot even go back to LBI to find out if he has a home!

PSEG, where are youuuuuu? Instead of getting extra workers from midwestern & southern states, I think PSEG became confused and sent all their workers to the Midwest & South!

I have not seen a PSE&G truck anywhere near Martinsville. The Tullo Road area is not that damaged that I could tell so whats the deal? It wouldn't be so bad if everyone didn't have well water that needs electricity to work. Hang in there everyone it could have been worse.

PSE&G quite active in the Mountain Top, Steele Gap and Twin Oaks area. Lots of trees down on the road and on property slowing down restoration. The sequence of restoration remains a mystery.
