County residents headed out to North Branch Park on July 4 to celebrate America’s birthday with games, music, rides and lots of good food, plus fireworks at the end of the night. Credit Terry Boudreau
The first snowfall of the year hit Bridgewater Jan. 21, and residents, like 5-year-old Nick Righetti, headed out for some snow fun, sliding down hills at Duke Island Park and other local parks and fields. Credit Terry Boudreau
Superstorm Sandy battered the area, dropping trees and power lines all over the township due to the high winds that uprooted them all over the place. Residents couldn’t drive down the streets, and many roads were closed, as residents struggled to get around immediately after the storm, and it took more than 14 days for many residents to see restored power. Hillside intermediate School held its first Roots & Shoots Dance-a-thon fundraiser to raise money for the Students Raising Students Scholarship program in Kenya and Tanzania.
