Brett Charleston, former principal in Egg Harbor Township, is beginning his first year at Bridgewater-Raritan High School in two weeks—and he's looking forward to making his mark at this top-rated school.

Charleston sat down with Patch to discuss everything from his goals for the school and his opinion on iPads in the classrooms, to longer class periods and a desire to spruce up the grounds.

Here, Charleston talks about his open-door policy for parents, and his hope to keep them involved in the school community, while working on the aesthetics of the building.
