Bridgewater Township Police are investigating a report that someone stole money from vending machines at the Red Bull Inn July 31

According to police, an employee at the hotel reported that someone pried open the locks to the dryer, washer and soda machines and removed money from them.

About $250 was removed from the machines, police said.

Police also arrested a Hillsborough resident for employee theft at Abercrombie & Fitch in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

Rais Ahmed, 19, was charged with employee theft around 3:39 p.m. Aug. 2 after police found that, between May 28 and July 26, he had allegedly stolen $450 from various cash registers in the store.

Ahmed was processed and released.
