Out of a total of 247 votes cast—and after a very close match—Toscana's Pizzeria and Restaurant walked away with 114 votes [46 percent of the total].

In a close second place was Milano Grille with 98 votes [39 percent], followed by Maggiano's Little Italy with 21 votes [8 percent] and La Catena Ristorante Italiano and Cafe Emilia with seven votes each [2 percent].

Many of the initial comments on the article praised the food and service at Toscana's, and the restaurant currently has a five-star rating in Bridgewater Patch's directory.

Readers praised the service of the restaurant, and said it is a relaxing atmosphere for a family meal.

"Recently I did a take-out order from Toscana's, but had forgotten my wallet," said reader Bob O'Connell. "They gave me my order and I called in my credit card info when I got home."

"Very good food and good people there," he added. "Great shrimp and salmon dishes."
