First Day of School to Be Only Four Hours

We count down what you need to know for the first day of school, and a few after that.

Today is the first day of school, and we've got your list of five things you need to know to be prepared for the day.

  1. All schools will be on a half day schedule—primary schools will run from 8:35 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.; intermediate schools will run from 9:05 a.m. to 1:25 p.m.; middle school will run from 7:35 a.m. to 11:58 a.m.; and the high school will run from 7:20 a.m. to 12:02 p.m. The AM kindergarten will run from 8:35 a.m. to 10:40 a.m., and the PM kindergarten will run from 10:45 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.
  2. No lunches will be served because the schools are all on a four-hour schedule.
  3. The district will be back to a full-day schedule Thursday.
  4. The high school will be led by new principal Lew Ludwig.
  5. And Bridgewater Patch will be bringing you photos of students heading off to school on the bus for the first day of the new year!
