Flower Show Bringing Spring to Winter

Lots to do at this weekend's flower show.

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap on Wednesday evening. It’s your time. Take it.

Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.

This weekend we invite you to enjoy a little spring before winter actually ends by heading over to the 10th Annual New Jersey Flower & Garden Show at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison.

To be held from Thursday through Sunday, the show will play host to several gardening afficionados, including Cathy Miller, Dean Norton, Bruce Crawford and Ray Rogers. And guests will have the opportunity to purchase plant materials and garden accessories Sunday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Plus, celebrity gardener Mark Viette will tape his weekly gardening show at the festival Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The festival will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $6 for kids ages 12 to 17 and free for children 11 years old and younger.
