Power Nearly Fully Restored in Bridgewater
Very few customers remain in the dark after Sunday night's deadline.
Nearly all power has been restored in Bridgewater.
Projections from both PSE&G and JCP&L maintained the utility companies were expected to meet the Sunday night restoration deadline. According to JCP&L's outage map early Monday morning, only five Bridgewater customers were still without power.
According to figures from PS&G, there were 620 customers without power as of Saturday. A total of 607 were expected to be restored Saturday, and the remaining 13 were scheduled to be restored Sunday.
As for JCP&L, their figures state that eight customers were still without power as of Sunday morning, and they are also expected to be restored by the end of the day.
Bridgewater Township Mayor Dan Hayes posted on the website Saturday evening that he did observe many utility vehicles around town working to fix the problems.
"The communication with the utilities has certainly increased as they work to restore power at the street level," he said in the message.
Hayes said that if, by Monday morning, anyone is still without power, they should call the utility companies directly because there may be a specific problem with the house.
Those using PSE&G should call 1-800-436-7743. Those with JCP&L should call 1-888-544-4877.
