An Irvington woman was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest after she and an Orange resident were allegedly found with merchandise from Bloomingdales around 2:33 p.m. July 2.

Marcia Ebanks, 48, of Irvington, and Denise Oginni, 33, of Orange, were charged with shoplifting after they were found with $413.56 worth of merchandise from the store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall.

According to police, Ebanks was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in the incident.

Both women were processed and released.

Emily Whalen, 36, of Pennsylvania, was charged with shoplifting after she was found with $323.32 worth of merchandise from Rite Aid at 4:44 p.m. July 2.

Whalen was processed and released, police said.

Bridgewater Township Police are also investigating a report of a burglary, because a Springfield resident reported that someone smashed in the window to her vehicle around 5:28 p.m. July 9.

Police said a GPS unit was stolen from the vehicle.

Finally, a Middlesex resident reported on July 10, that the evening before, someone removed the tailgate and license plate off her trailer while it was parked in the parking lot of Home Depot, on Promenade Boulevard.
