Pedroso to Be Sworn in for Full Council Term
The township council will hold its annual reorganization meeting Monday.
Filipe Pedroso will be sworn in for a full term at Monday’s township council reorganization meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the municipal complex on Commons Way.
Pedroso was chosen to serve on the council in early 2012 after Dan Hayes was elected to mayor. In November, Pedroso was elected to a full term on the council, defeating Democrat William Metz.
The meeting will also include a selection of a council president, and a report from Mayor Dan Hayes on the state of the township and the year ahead.
Hayes will make appointments of both township professionals and residents to the different committees and boards, with expectations of reappointments of William Savo as township attorney and Scarlett Doyle as township planner.
In addition, the council will schedule its meetings for the rest of the year, as well as establish a temporary budget to be used until the 2013 budget is approved around April.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
