Sports Galore as Spring Season Begins

Saturday marks the opening of the season for all spring sports, as BRHS teams take on their competitors in lacrosse, softball and baseball.
Below is the combination of our weekly pick of weekend activities and our Grab & Go Kids Planner, offering both fun weekend activities and great family-friendly fun at the same time.
Here are this week's picks:
Photos with the Easter Bunny
When/Where: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bridgewater Commons Mall.
Why Go: To celebrate the Easter season with a family picture with the Easter Bunny. Photos will be taken now through April 7.
Cost: Depends on the cost of the photo package you purchase.
Walk on the Wild Side at Duke Farms
When/Where: Friday at 6 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. at Duke Farms on Route 206 in Hillsborough.
Why Go: To explore nature through a 1.25-mile trail and look at some of the landscape created by J.B. Duke.
Cost: Free.
Free Concert Featuring Esther Park
When/Where: Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Township Library on Vogt Drive.
Why Go: To listen to pianist Esther Park perform works by Mozart, Brahms and Chopin.
Cost: Free.
Girls Lacrosse VS. North Hunterdon
When/Where: Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Why Go: To check out the first game of the season between the BRHS girls lacrosse team and North Hunterdon.
Cost: Free.
Panthers Softball VS. Jefferson
When/Where: Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Why Go: To support the Panthers softball team in its first game against Jefferson.
Cost: Free.
BRHS Baseball VS. Wayne Hills
When/Where: Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Why Go: It's opening day for the Bridgewater baseball team, so come support the boys in the game against Wayne Hills.
Cost: Free.
Boys Lacrosse VS. Watchung Hills
When/Where: Saturday at 11 a.m. at Watchung Hills Regional High School.
Why Go: Last year's Tournament of Champions winner, BRHS boys lacrosse team, is playing in its opening game against Watchung Hills.
Cost: Free.
Dog Adoption Day @ Bridgewater PetSmart
When/Where: Saturday at 11 a.m. at PetSmart on Promenade Boulevard.
Why Go: Because your new best friend is probably waiting for you, and the best place to find him or her is at Bridgewater's PetSmart.
Cost: Free, plus the cost of the dog.
Celebrate Read Across America Month
When/Where: Saturday at 11 a.m. at Barnes and Noble on Route 202/206.
Why Go: Because Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County will be hosting events at the store to celebrate Read Across America, with in-store activities and volunteer opportunities.
Cost: Free.
Panthers Softball VS. Montclair-Kimberley
When/Where: Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Why Go: To support the Panthers softball team as it continues a double header at the beginning of its season, with a game against Montclair-Kimberley.
Cost: Free.
