State Report Cards Show District Numbers Unchanged
The district's enrollment and class sizes have stayed stagnant.
The state has released the school report cards for the 2010-2011 school year, and, for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, the results are pretty much unchanged since the year before.
Enrollment rates have stayed fairly stagnant in all schools in the district, increasing in some grades and decreasing in others. And, in the high school, drop-out rates have mostly fallen, with the graduation rate up to almost 100 percent.
Parents throughout the year have expressed concerns about increasing class sizes, and the report cards show that they have risen slightly across the board, aside from some elementary schools, including Adamsville Primary and Bradley Gardens Primary actually seeing smaller classes.
As far as standardized test scores, the percentages of students achieving proficiency has stayed fairly stagnant in most schools.
The district released information about test scores in November, citing that most achieved adequate yearly progress, but more needs to be done to improve language and literacy tests scores in the middle and intermediate schools.

The teacher to student ratio at the intermediate level has not been stagnant - it's gone up 15-20%. Why has it gone up so much?
