The Week in Hurricane Sandy

Normally we have your week in review of all the news that mattered to Bridgewater this past week, but this week the focus was obviously entirely on Hurricane Sandy.

We've got your continued list of stores that are reopening as they regain power throughout the township.

Gov. Chris Christie has instituted gas rationing in 12 counties in the state, with odd-even days for drivers to get gas.

With the NJEA Teachers' Convention cancelled, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District has opted to have school on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 as long as power has returned to the buildings.

The township is still keeping all of its usual polling locations open Tuesday, but will have mobile stations set up for those buildings that still don't have power.

Before Gov. Chris Christie announced that Halloween would be moved to Monday, Bridgewater Mayor Dan Hayes said he wanted to leave the decision for trick or treating to the parents.
