With elections moved to November for the board of education, the deadline for filing petitions to fill one of the three vacancies for the coming year is approaching.

The filing deadline for running for the board of education is 4 p.m. June 5, and petitions must be submitted to the county clerk by then in order to be included.

The elections will be held in conjunction with the national elections, to be held Nov. 6.

Terms on the board of education are three years.
