Vote on Zoning For Houses of Worship Leads Off Week
Meeting could directly impact mosque application.
A special meeting of the Bridgewater Township Council leads off this week. If the ordinance being voted on is approved, it would directly impact an application that was first heard before the planning board Feb. 28 to build a mosque on the former Redwood Inn property on Mountain Top Road.
Here's a look at what else is happening this week:
Monday-The Bridgewater Township Council will hold a special meeting to vote on an ordinance that would limit where houses of worship can be established. It will be held at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
Friday-Children ages 3 to 5 will visit imaginary points around the globe at the Lord Stirling Park, Environmental Education Center at 1:30 p.m. during an event called "Wild Earth Tour." Activities such as rainforest Bingo, bowling for penguins and building a cactus will be included. Advanced payment is required, so make sure to check the event listing soon.
Saturday-Come out for a night of music and dancing with some friends, light food and refreshments to a benefit the Basking Ridge Fire Company No. 1 is holding. They are calling it a night of rock n' roll, and music will be provided by the band The Tattered Prophets.
