What Has Sandy's Wrath Cost You?
Power outages hurt financially, but are also painful mentally and emotionally.
In Bridgewater, the devastation seemed to know no bounds.
Hurricane Sandy struck the area with force, knocking out electricity for many in town. With that kind of widespread impact, a toll was taken on residents in many ways.
First, the ability to purchase fuel became a problem, as gas stations were closed. And when they opened, consumers waited in mile-long lines for hours, only to be snubbed at the last second.
Then came the lack of classes. School buildings were without power for almost two weeks, keeping children at home. For some, childcare became necessary, while others lost a bit of sanity with kids running up the walls.
Of course, without power, you can't cook at home, which means you spent a whole lot of money on takeout food.
The point we're trying to make is, Hurricane Sandy was a trying time for everyone in Bridgewater.
What we want to know is, what did the storm and its wrath cost you, both financially, emotionally, and mentally?
