The Somerset Patriots defeated the Bridgeport Bluefish 1-0 in a shortened game that was called in the sixth inning due to rain at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday night.
Johnny Drennen (8) provided all the offense needed on a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to lead to the win.
Derell McCall (10-6) picked up the win, pitching five scoreless innings and allowing just one hit. Jonah Bayliss (4-9) suffered the loss, allowing a run in five innings pitched.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season will conclude at home on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Bridgeport Bluefish at 1:05 pm. The game features Cancer Awareness Day and Top 15 Patriots Lithographs.
