Wax Center Offers Comfortable Experience

The business just opened in Towne Center.

It is designed to offer something that no one else does—and people are flocking to it in droves. A new franchise of European Wax Center has opened in Towne Center, and co-owner Steve Miller, who owns the business with his wife Millie Viqueira, said he is pleased by the opportunity to offer services to residents that are not readily available in this area. “This fills a great niche,” he said. “There are high service, expensive spas or nail salons that offer waxing. We fit into there with the price point at the low end, but offering high end service.” “Everything is designed to save money,” he added. "And there is strong growth inherent in the health and beauty sector." For Miller, who also owns a franchise of Massage Envy in Parsippany, he …

But some still fancy red roses, says Gray's Florist's Steve Black.

Even the traditions of Mother Day are changing. Gone are the days when the only choice for a bouquet was red roses—now, Mother's Day bouquets include pink and lavender roses, perrennials ... even fruit. Whatever mom wants, mom gets. According to Steve Black, owner of Gray's Florist on Route 22 in Watchung, customers in recent years have been leaning towards bouquets with more assortment, too. This florist is an offshoot of Gray's Florist & Greenhouses, owned by Harold Black, on Route 202/206 in Bridgewater "A lot of people are really looking for items that are multi-purpose," Steve Black said. "Things like vase arrangements, where they can replant or move some of the flowers to other rooms are popular." He added a lot of people are …
