Sparkee held up a sign near the road to advertise the business, and drivers honked their enthusiasm at seeing the mascot as the countdown to the Patriots's May 6 home opener begins.
In our second edition of searching for Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots mascot showed up at Saturday's opening day ceremony for the Bradley Gardens Little Loop Baseball at Ardmaer Field. Although the first game of the season was canceled due to rain, the teams gathered to celebrate the start of the season.
In our first edition of searching for Sparkee, the Somerset Patriots mascot showed up at Saturday's Opening Day parade for the recreational baseball and softball teams. The mascot shook the hands of the players as they walked onto the field on Prince Rodgers Avenue, and got the crowd excited for the day of baseball ahead.
