More About Bridgewater-Raritan High School
Bridgewater-Raritan High School is designed as a campus-style building, with 11 separate buildings that students move through in nine 40-minute periods each day. The school, which was originally dedicated in September 1961, has mostly one-story buildings, with one that is two stories.
Curriculum in the school has changed over the years to accommodate a growing student enrollment, as well as demands for additional technological improvements and budgetary constraints. Among the school's highlighted programs are a Cooperative Education Program to allow students to earn college credit for high school work, as well as a World Language Exchange Program with schools in England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The school also offers bilingual classes for non-English-speaking students, and classroom instruction includes the use of computers, calculators, networked computer labs, closed-circuit television, interactive television and software programs.
The school has been recognized as one of only three New Jersey high schools to be a New Jersey Star School and is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
