Mentoring changes lives.  Mentees build confidence, develop stronger interpersonal skills, set goals, and achieve higher standards.  If you are thinking of becoming a mentor, our mentor training program is an easy way to learn all about the mentoring process and the rewards, challenges, and profound  impact mentoring has on both the mentor and mentee.

Due to popular demand, United Way of Northern New Jersey is holding a free mentor training class consisting of four sessions.  Please note, individuals must attend all sessions.

Somerset County United Way

1011 Us Highway 22, Bridgewater, NJ
908-725-6640

Somerset County United Way was officially started in 1990 with the goal of creating a community-building organization that would work to solve local problems. It is an independent 501c3 organization that works toward creating resources needed to improve the quality of life for residents of, and those who work in, Somerset County. The organization generally focuses on helping people achieve financial stability, life readiness and healthy lifestyles. In all three categories, Somerset County United Way has established several programs and assistance groups to help those in need of information on how to be financially independent, those who do not have the necessary attire to survive the winter months, those who are looking to strengthen job skills and those who do not have insurance coverage for prescription drugs, among other necessities for healthy and positive living.
