Bridgewater's Susan Vella to be honored with Tribute to Women and Industry Award

Bridgewater resident Susan M.Vella will be among 51 women to be honored at the 35th Annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored by YWCA Union County at the Bridgewater Marriott Hotel on May 8th.  She serves as Senior Vice President, Chubb Personal Insurance Customer Service and Operations Manager at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies in Whitehouse Station.

Susan is responsible for the customer service operations of Chubb’s Personal Insurance division, managing their Customer Service Center, Billing and on-line offerings.  She also leads significant technology initiatives for the division. Before assuming this role, Susan spent 13 years at Chubb Canada leading the personal insurance division, profitably doubling revenues. While in Canada, Susan started and led Chubb Canada’s United Way Leadership campaign and served on the board of the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade and DAREarts.  In the U.S., Susan served on Chubb’s Women’s Development Council, and chaired their Mentorship Committee.  She established the CPI Customer Service Center’s Multicultural Advisory Council, served on her local GLEN board, and sits on the boards of The Willow School and Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency.

YWCA Union County's Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award is a nationally-recognized honor for women. Since creating the TWIN award 35 years ago, the YWCA has honored women in executive, managerial, and other professional roles who have made significant contributions in their fields.  This important award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and honors those companies that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.
