BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable will present their 16th annual “Salute To Horse Power” classic automobile and motorcycle show on the grounds of Somerset County Park Commission Lord Stirling Stable at 256 South Maple Avenue on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Show vehicle registration will begin at 9:00 A.M. Vehicle entry donation is $10.00 if pre-registered and $15.00 the day of the event. Registration fee includes entry for all passengers.  Spectator donation is $2.00 per person with children under 12 admitted for free. All proceeds are used to support the ongoing programs at Lord Stirling Stable.

 

Judging will take place from 11:15 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. with awards to be announced at 2:30 P.M. Trophies, plaques, and goodie bags will be presented, and there will be a 50/50 raffle.  All show vehicles will be parked according to class in a field. Black top parking will be available only for entrants who have a disability.

 

Free hayrides and pony rides will be available from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon and from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.  Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on Park grounds.

Friends of Lord Stirling Stable is a 501(c) (3) organization of junior and adult volunteers working with the Somerset County Park Commission to support the activities of Lord Stirling Stable through contribution of ideas, time, and revenue.
