5 Things to Get You Psyched About School

Check out our list to help get your day started.

As of today, spring break is officially over and students in the are waking up early to head back to their respective buildings for the rest of the school year. But to attempt to make that prospect less dreary, we present today five things to think about as we head into the home stretch of the school year.

  • Extra Day Off—Remember, the district almost did not have Monday off, but with the lack of used, that day was given back. So at least everyone had an extra day of vacation!
  • Three Months—That's right, it's already April, which means there are only about three months left of school. For some, that means preparing for the end of the year, for others that means prom, graduation and enjoying the rest of the final BRRSD year. So enjoy it!
  • Spring!—The weather is starting to get warmer, which means for the elementary students, much more chances to play outside during recess. For the older students, it stays light much later while you're at sports practices, and there's a great opportunity to get some after school!
  • School Events—Yes, things like testing are coming up as the year winds down, but there are some exciting events happening too—proms, graduations, awards ceremonies, end-of-year art shows, lots to look forward to!
  • Spring Sports—The season is finally in full swing, with lacrosse, baseball and softball. Let's enjoy some games and some time outside!
