5 Things to Know About Vo-Tech

Saturday is the annual Open House at the . In addition to an opportunity to see all the different programs the school has to offer, the school will also be celebrating Career and Technical Education Month with program demonstrations, Skills USA competitions and much more. And in honor of that open house, we present five important things to know about the school itself.

  • Two Counties—The school is open to students in both Somerset and Hunterdon counties, and is located on an 80-acre campus on Vogt Drive in Bridgewater.
  • Associates Degree—Students in the earn both a high school degree from the Vo-Tech, as well as an associates degree from the Raritan Valley Community College because they take college level classes as well as their high school curricula.
  • Lots of Technical Studies—The school offers a variety of technical studies in a multitude of different fields, including architecture and construction; performing arts; graphic communications; health science; culinary arts; cosmetology; information technology; law and public safety; auto body technology; automotive technology; and much more.
  • It's Free—There is no charge for taking courses and becoming a student at the Vo-Tech, except for a minor fee in the academy because of the corresponding courses at RVCC.
  • Application Required—There is an admission process to be accepted to the school, including completing an application, submitting certain test scores, writing a Letter of Commitment and other requirements.
