Looking for exciting weekend activities and family-friendly fun? You're in the right place.

Yes, the week began with a hurricane, and the county is still cleaning up from the after-effects—but that doesn't mean you can't take a little time off with your family this weekend.

But there's lots more going on, and below is the combination of our weekly pick of weekend activities and our Grab & Go Kids Planner, offering both fun weekend activities and great family-friendly fun at the same time.

Alex's Lemonade Stand
When/Where:
 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 2 through Sept. 5 at  on Promenade Boulevard in Bridgewater
Why Go: Because you will get some cool lemonade on a hot day, while also helping out a worthy organization to raise funds for children stricken with cancer.
Pricing: It all depends on what you want to pay. Old Navy is encouraging customers to give whatever they want.


When/Where: 
7:05 p.m. Saturday at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater.
Why Go: 
Because you need a break from hurricane cleanup, and there will be collections for county residents who were flooded out of their homes. 
Pricing: 
Free on a first come, first served basis.

The 20th Olde Mill Inn Tour of Basking Ridge
Where/When:
 Starting at 7:15 a.m. Monday on South Finley Avenue in downtown Basking Ridge. Kids Races start at 10:30 a.m.
Why Go:
 for an annual bike race that mixes fun with some real riding, and celebrates the official back-from-summer-vacation weekend of the year.
Pricing:
 No preregistration necessary for free kids races. Otherwise contact Liberty Cycle Inc. at 908-630-0110.


When/Where: 
From 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at G&J Studios in Hillsborough. 
Why Go: 
Because it's a great night of socializing, dancing and fun. Partners are not required so maybe that special someone will dance your way. 
Pricing: 
$15 per person.

Where/When: At 6 p.m. on Friday at the  in Madison.
Why Go: Because you can bring a blanket or chair for a free family-friendly outdoor music concert on the lawn of the museum.
Pricing: Free.
