A Reunion for Formerly Homeless ... Pets

Local rescue group is organizing an event for their past customers.

Warren's Rawhide Rescue has helped hundreds of people find pets from among the homeless animals they've rescued. On April 29, some of those pets—and people—will meet again at a special "Alumni Day."

"We’re having an artist give dog sketches, a 'Free Style' doggie dancing demo, a dog walk and a craft market," Laurie Green, of Rawhide Rescue, said.

The event will be held at Colonial Park, in Franklin, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.—there's no charge, so feel free to stop by and meet some of the dogs and people who've benefitted by adopting a homeless pet.

Some of the presentations at Alumni Day will be sponsored by Camp Bow Wow, the daycare and overnight "camp" in Bridgewater.

"For the upcoming Alumni Day, besides promoting the event, Camp will be managing the registration for the dog walk," Jordanna Coyle, of Camp Bow Wow, said. "We will have a special table set up for the registration and will provide totebags filled with goodies for all the participants."

Coyle also said she's looking forward to seeing some of the many pets she provided a foster home for as Rawhide Rescue searched for a new permanent home.
