On Dec. 4, more than 85 people attended a Jewish LIFE program featuring award-winning author Letty Cottin Pogrebin.

Ms. Pogrebin spoke about how, after her bout with breast cancer, she came to write her recent book, "How to be a Friend to a Friend Who’s Sick." This book informs and recommends how friends and family members of the ill can best comfort, help, and even simply talk to an ailing individual.

The community event was held at the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum JCC in Bridgewater and included a luncheon and book signing. Jewish LIFE (Learning Is For Everyone) is a collaborative adult education program serving residents of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties.  For further information on Jewish LIFE, please call the JCC at 908-725-6994.
