Jazz Band Shows off Award-Winning Talent

This week's featured group has taken top honors in competition.

The Jazz Band

  • Group: Bridgewater-Raritan High School Jazz Band
  • Community Organization: Bridgewater-Raritan High School
  • Accomplishment: The jazz band sweeps a recent competition, winning awards for both the band and individual players.
  • Key to Awesomeness: Bridgewater-Raritan High School's "Monday night" Jazz Band performed last weekend along with several other regional high school bands. The event, graciously hosted by Edison High School, brought Bridgewater several notable achievements. The band received the highest ranked achievement award of "Outstanding," swept the award for "best trombone section," and one soloist, Rob Novy, received an award for best solist (guitar). The band is recognized for its hard work and dedication. No wonder it has a track record of success!
