A potent winter storm will hit our region after midnight tonight and continue until early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service Mount Holly, NJ Forecast Office at 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

The storm will bring as much as 6-10 inches of heavy snow, as well as sleet a trace of ice.

There is a risk of power outages as heavy, wet snow accumulates on tree branches and winds gust 40 mph along the coast, and 20-30 mph inland. Icing due to freezing rain is not a major threat.
