Lighting the Way to a Heavenly Escape

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap on Wednesday evening. It’s your time. Take it.

This week, take a look at the lighter side of things, whether it’s alone or with the family.

The Planetarium at Raritan Valley Community College offers a host of laser light shows this weekend, with some shows geared toward families and others that are meant for a more mature crowd.

This week’s offerings include Light Waves laser concert, featuring music by U2, the Beatles, Lady Gaga and OK Go, at 4 p.m. and a performance of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” at 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission to shows is just $6, regardless of age.
