Looking for exciting weekend activities and family-friendly fun? You're in the right place.

OK, so there aren't too many things going on this weekend aside from Thanksgiving celebrations and plenty of shopping. But that doesn't stop us from offering a few options for things to do around New Jersey.

There's plenty of things going on, and below is the combination of our weekly pick of weekend activities and our Grab & Go Kids Planner, offering both fun weekend activities and great family-friendly fun at the same time.

Personal Training Class
Where/When: Friday at 5 p.m. at TEST Sports Clubs on Washington Valley Road
Why Go: To combat that extra Thanksgiving weight with a suspension training class and weight training, all serving as a tryout.
Cost: Free

Sports Card Show
Where/When: Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann School on 2nd Avenue in Raritan
Why Go: To check out the offerings of 50 dealers showing off their sports cards and other collectibles.
Cost: $1 to get in, which will be donated to the school.

Buy One Bring One (BOBO) Friday
Where/When: Friday all day at the Environmental Education Center at Lord Stirling Park in Basking Ridge
Why Go: To help those in need this holiday season by dropping off canned food or personal care items in the blue BOBO bins, to be distributed to those in need through the Somerset County food banks.
Cost: Free, just the cost of purchasing a canned or personal care item

Introductory Horseback Ride
Where/When: Sunday at 10 a.m. at Lord Stirling Park Stable in Basking Ridge
Why Go: To learn some familiarity with the English style of horseback riding through a mini group lesson with instructors and an hour-long ride after.
Cost: $32 for Somerset County residents, $40 for non-residents.


Where/When: Friday at 8 p.m. at the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown
Why Go: To see a great performance by one of the best-selling pop acts of all time, with such hits as "If You Leave Me Now,” “Saturday in the Park” and “Baby What a Big Surprise.”
Cost: Ticket prices range from $76 to $151.
