Wintry Mix Predicted Through Saturday

It might be the first arctic blast of the season.

We had a tropical storm in August, snow in October and ice last week—and now the first real wintry mix may actually be coming.

According to the National Weather Service, the prediction is for snow to begin after 1 a.m. Saturday, with an accumulation of about 1 to 2 inches possible. On Saturday, snow is expected before 10 a.m., turning to sleet after 10 a.m. with a slight chance of rain or snow after 1 p.m.

The total accumulation possible is 1 to 3 inches, with some ice.
