Cajun Music, Delicious Food ... a Toe-Tapping Night

Families enjoyed the cajun music of the Red Hot Louisiana Band.

It was a beautiful Sunday night with good music, cool weather, delicious food, ice cream, and ... a free concert.

Children and adults alike danced the night away at Duke Island Park to the cajun music of the Red Hot Louisiana Band as part of the Somerset County Park Commission's Summer Concert Series.

"Everyone is dancing, and the people who aren't, are tapping their feet," said Bridgewater resident Gabriella Ferrera.

More than 300 people attended the Cajun music festival at Duke Island Park—an event that was so popular, the caterer ran out of food by 7 p.m.

But local residents wouldn't let that stop them from enjoying the glorious weather and music, as they barbecued and bought their own food to eat while they listened to the music.

The summer concert series will continue Aug. 7 with Smokin' Joe Kubek and Bnois King.
