Camplified Rocks at JCC (With Video)

Interactive rock concert comes to the Bridgewater Jewish Community Center.

The second annual Camplified, a hip and innovative music concert, rocked Camp Ruach and the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center of Bridgewater Monday.

The Camplified tour, pioneered nine years ago by founder Aimee Berger, brought musicians and crew members together with campers and families for a fun-filled day at the center that included a guitar clinic, T-shirt contest and relay races.

The day's events culminated with a high-energy, cheering-crowd-filled concert that included performances by Cody Simpson, a rising superstar from Australia; Tom Fiss, who headlined the concert; and local bands 6-Volt and High Bench.

Paige Silberfein, camp and program director, was thrilled to incorporate Camplified into this summers' roster of events.

"People are very excited about it," she said. "The kids have been talking about it all day and can't wait to come back this evening with their families.  It's a nice way to bring music and the entertainment industry to our campers and families."

The concert was free to anyone who wished to attend, but donations were appreciated and went to the Camp Scholarship fund.
