Works will include sculptural pieces, paintings, drawings and prints which students ages preschool through 6th grade created during the winter class session. These works will be displayed in the school "gallery-style."

The Creative Power Plant was conceived by Claudia Browne, trained artist and certified art teacher, in order to provide children with a place to express themselves without boundaries, use their imagination freely and have fun while doing it. It opened its doors in January 2012.

"The Creative Power Plant is a place where children can discover the talents they each have through hands-on experiences with a variety of materials," Browne said. "It is a place that encourages individual expression, rather than cookie cutter projects or using materials in an obvious way."

Classes run on a per session basis, Tuesdays through Thursdays after 4 p.m. and on Saturdays.
