'Decadent' Cupcake Shop Opens in Mall

Frozen yogurt, ice cream—and now the Bridgewater Commons Mall has added cupcakes to its list of confections.

Crumbs Bake Shop officially opened its doors April 5, bringing its decadent cupcakes that are larger than your average treat.

“Our signature cupcake is about 1.5 times the size of a regular store-bought cupcake,” said Quinn Solomon, publicist for Crumbs. “However, we do have a regular size cupcake, ‘our classic,’ and a small size, our ‘taste size.’”

The business, which officially opened in 2003, boasts three signature, and most popular, cupcakes, Solomon said. Those are the Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Cup and Cookies n’ Cream.

“Our decadence [is what people enjoy most],” she said. “We have some of the most unique flavors and twists on classic Americana treats, it’s hard to choose just one favorite.”

In addition, Solomon said, most of the cupcakes are filled with creamy icing.

“So there is a great surprise and delight when you bite into them,” she said.

Solomon said people in New Jersey have really responded to what Crumbs has to offer, and they are excited about coming to Bridgewater.

“Bridgewater was a great opportunity to expand our reach and introduce Crumbs to even more people from the great state of New Jersey,” she said. “We couldn’t have picked a better location than Bridgewater Commons.”
