The Provident Bank will celebrate the grand opening of a new branch in Bridgewater located at 477 Union Avenue on Saturday, May 12. The new office will replace the branch previously located at 715 Promenade Boulevard.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m., and grand opening festivities will continue through 2 p.m. The public is invited to join in the celebration.
As part of the celebration, free refreshments will be served, including breakfast and lunch, Italian ice and specially made kielbasa sandwiches. There also will be free activities for kids, such as a balloon artist and moon bounce. Plus, Somerset Patriots Mascot, Sparkee, will be at the grand opening until noon.

Visitors can try their luck at Provident’s Instant Cash Rewards Game with a top prize of $500. In addition, select winners will get a chance to step into a whirlwind of flying money in a cash booth where they will try to grab as much cash as they can within the allotted time. The bank also is hosting a special sweepstakes for an opportunity to win a $2,500 cruise travel voucher – entries will be accepted at the Bridgewater branch through June 16.
Provident representatives also will be on hand to greet visitors and answer questions about the bank and its services.

Along with the grand opening celebration, Provident is offering free gifts, such as a grill master, radio cooler, knife set or insulated carafe, with the opening of certain new checking accounts. Check with the branch for details.
