Gold's Gym Opens in Bridgewater

It replaces Powerhouse Gym on Route 28.

Gold’s Gym has opened a new branch in Villa Liberty, on Route 28, in the former location of Powerhouse Gym.

The facility is 15,000 square feet, but owners Mary and Rob Zampetti are planning renovations to outfit the property with state-of-the-art strength equipment, the latest cardio machines, spacious locker rooms, personal training and group exercise classes.

Mary Zampetti said she and her husband are Somerset County residents, and it seemed only natural to open there.

“Rob and I have lived in Somerset County for over 20 years,” she said. “We are very familiar with Bridgewater and the neighboring communities.”

And, Zampetti said, this will be an important addition to the community.

“There is a true need for a health club that meets fitness needs for everyone, no matter what their body type,” she said.

The Zampettis also have a branch of Gold’s Gym in Green Brook, which they have operated for the last 10 years.

“We are excited to open a Gold’s Gym in Bridgewater,” Rob Zampetti said. “Gold’s Gym Bridgewater will offer local residents an opportunity to work out with high-quality equipment at an affordable price in a friendly and welcoming environment.”

Different classes being offered include zumba, kickboxing, strength training, sculpting, spinning and funk.

Mary Zampetti said the gym will work to help members achieve health and fitness goals.

“Gold’s Gym members can anticipate the most up-to-date, advanced fitness facility that caters to their needs, while providing a social environment where everyone feels comfortable,” she said. “We encourage everyone to stop by and check out our new facility to take advantage of our membership offerings."

Rob Zampetti said they are committed to making the fitness experience enjoyable.

“With over 60 percent of New Jersey’s population overweight, we are committed to creating an inviting environment to make fitness an enjoyable experience,” he said. “Hundreds of our former members in Green Brook have changed their lives through our body transformation program. We are excited to roll out the red carpet in Bridgewater.”

Gold’s Gym of Bridgewater will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
