'Jerseylicious' Drama at 'Olivia' Fashion Event

Gatsby owner feels slighted after Blois Sharpe brings mobile event to Anthony Roberts Salon.

"Jerseylicious" stylist Tracy DiMarco can't stand her co-worker Olivia Blois Sharpe. So when she was talked into working an event where the stylists were tasked with making 18 models look just like Blois Sharpe, drama unfolded on Sunday night's episode of The Style Network's salon reality show.

Blois Sharpe, a graduate, was concerned about her boss, Anthony Lombardi's, financial situation as he announced in the episode that he was forced to delay the opening of the Verona salon.

"We're delayed now beyond belief, to the point now where I don't even know when we're going to open," Lombardi told the stylists.

Blois Sharpe had been approached by designer Thomas Lavone about a fashion line he was creating called "Olivia," with clothing inspired by Blois Sharpe's style. Lavone needed stylists to do hair and makeup for models who would be wearing the clothing at an event, so Blois Sharpe booked the event for the Anthony Roberts Salon to help make some money for Lombardi.

This caused DiMarco to feel uneasy, as she and Blois Sharpe are not only employees of the Anthony Roberts Salon, but the Gatsby Salon, in Green Brook as well, which has its own mobile business, Gatsby 2 Go. DiMarco said she felt loyalty to Gatsby owner Gayle Giacomo, a Bridgewater resident, since Gatsby had a mobile business first and told Blois Sharpe they should at least tell Giacomo. Blois Sharpe disagreed, but DiMarco told Giacomo behind Blois Sharpe's back any way.

The event got off to a rocky start after DiMarco learned the theme of the event centered on making the models look like Blois Sharpe. Lombardi even tried to break up the bickering between DiMarco and Blois Sharpe a few times, according to The Style Network's blog. But things got extra heated when Giacomo showed up at the event to confront Blois Sharpe and Lombardi about the mobile business. DiMarco asked if the stylists wanted to take the conversation outside.

"I don't want this Olivia party to turn out any uglier than it already is," she said.

Giacomo told Lombardi she felt uncomfortable with the fact that the employees she shares with him were involved in the mobile event.

"I can do whatever I want, where I want, with my employees and my salon," Lombardi said in one of the off-scene interviews during the episode.

But Giacomo said she felt Lombardi, a friend of hers, had betrayed her.

"I put up with sharing employees with Anthony because we're friends, but this is the second time that he's betrayed me," Giacomo said.

The drama surrounding the "Olivia" event will continue to unfold during next week's episode at 8 p.m. on The Style Network.
