'Jerseylicious:' Image Project Tests Gatsby Stylists

And a weavologist pushes hairstylist Tracy DiMarco's buttons.

When stylist Tracy DiMarco and  owner, and Bridgewater resident, Gayle Giacomo join a hair weaving class organized by Anthony Roberts Salon owner Anthony Lombardi, the Gatsby Image team was shorthanded for a pending consulting job on Sunday's episode of "Jerseylicious."

So manager Christy Periera joined Miguel and Olivia Blois Sharpe on the consultation—and Sharpe was not too happy about it.

"Now, this image consulting job is me, the guy who nearly took over my job, and the one person in the salon who doesn't do any hair or nails," she said.

The client, Amy, was seeking a change for her online dating posts, hoping to find better matches.

"I'm really excited," Pereira said.

But things went awry at the client's house, as Pereira and Sharpe clashed over styling choices. In a sidebar, Sharpe called Pereira a "stage mother" because of her questions over Sharpe's choices.

"We were hired to do a 'make-over,' not a 'make-under'—I don't understand why Christy is trying to do everything so conservatively," Sharpe said.

Eventually, they agreed on an outfit for the client, and Sharpe took some photos and uploaded them.

"I think we did a great job today," Pereira said afterward.

But Sharpe tried to suggest to Pereira that working on the Gatsby Image might not be "the best match," saying the customers called her after they left and commented on the apparent disagreements. Sharpe also said Pereira didn't listen to the client.

Pereira was chagrined, but when Giacomo agreed that she may not be well-suited to the consulting calls, she relented.

"If the clients think [Olivia] can do it, then I'll back out," she said.

Meanwhole, DiMarco joins Kathy Giove and the Anthony Roberts staff to help plan an engagement party for Alexa Prisco, offering some decorating suggestions that went over well.

But things were rougher at the weave class, where she butted heads with instuctor Fashion.

"I'm really looking forward to this weaving class because I'm all about improving my skills, but I'm nervous about having Fashion as a teacher," DiMarco said.

Tensions increasd, with Giacomo watching with some amusement, until DiMarco finally confronted Fashion, calling her an "evil *itch."

But when Fashion singled out DiMarco for some compliments at the end of the class, she apologized for her behavior.

"The thing is, Tracy, I see a lot of potential in you," Fashion told her. "So, I had to push you."

Afterward, DiMarco and Sharpe compared notes, with Sharpe complaining about the consulting job. They realized they work well together, a rare truce between the two.

"Jerseylicious" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on the Style Network.
