PromoVerse Helps Businesses, Consumers Connect

The app was developed by BRHS grads.

Advertising through new forms of media and smartphone technology is becoming more prevalent in society by the day—you name it and, chances are, somebody has created an app for it.

Now, one company based out of Bridgewater has created an app focused on making it easier for businesses to advertise their promotions.

PromoVerse, a free-to-download, location-based application launching exclusively in Central New Jersey, was created by the Areli Group and its CEO, Steven Chiocchi. The app will allow local businesses to promote special deals, all while keeping in touch with their customers and seeing exactly who is taking advantage of the promotions, according to Kyle Marino of the Areli Group.

“We specialize in digitizing any current promotions or promotions that a business owner is looking to run, as well as creating a mini-business profile for them on our app as well,” Marino said. “With our redemption process, we are able to present the business owner with their demographics on who's coming in, where they're coming from and what promotions they are redeeming at the end of each month.”

The Areli Group hopes that PromoVerse will encourage a steady flow of traffic to local businesses by offering daily promotions, as opposed to creating traffic to small businesses in sporadic bursts.

“Our goal is not to have business owners cut their prices drastically in half, like many daily deals sites out there, but to expose the small business to those around them,” Marino said. “Rather than [creating] one large burst of traffic, we focus more on daily promotions that our users will consistently use on everything from coffee, salons and beauty, to clothing, nightlife and restaurants.”

Users can also share which promotions they’ve redeemed on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter for additional perks. For example, the first 750 to 1,000 people to download and redeem two promotions using PromoVerse will be invited to a venue in New Brunswick for the company’s "Red Carpet Launch Party" for free.

“Our users redeem the promotions and we incent them to share their promotions and savvy shopping skills via Facebook and Twitter for PromoPoints, a way for them to earn exclusive V.I.P invites to events throughout New Jersey,” Marino said.

It was important to the Areli Group to launch PromoVerse locally, as everybody involved in the development of the app, including Chiocchi and Marino, is a graduate of . Doing this allows PromoVerse to give back to the communities held most dear to its developers.

“The more exposure we are able to receive [locally], the better it is for not only our app, but also for our users and the local business owners,” Marino said.
