Sanofi Among Largest Employers in County

There are many major employers throughout the county, with large numbers of employees, ranging in the thousands—and the Somerset County Business Partnership has put together the top 10 employers.

The top employer in the county is Verizon Business, located in Basking Ridge, with 3,500 employees.

The next five employers each boast 2,000 employers. They are Avaya Inc., in Basking Ridge; Cegedim Dendrite, in Bedminster; Chubb Group of Insurance Co., in Warren; Johnson and Johnson Research and Development, in Raritan; and Sanofi-Aventis Us LLC, in Bridgewater.

In Raritan, Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals has 1,800 employees, and the Somerset Medical Center, in Somerville, has 1,500 employees.

Met Life, in Bridgewater, has 1,400 employees.

Finally, Bloomberg LP, in Skillman, has 1,381 employees.
