'Jerseylicious:' Stylists Fix Image By Altering Others' Look

On this week's episode of "Jerseylicious," Tracy DiMarco and Olivia Blois Sharpe tried to change their image at the Gatsby Salon by altering the images of local women.

To come back from an embarassing where their assistants—Migual and Krystle—took over and received the credit, DiMarco and Sharpe, a Montville High School graduate, opted to add another layer to their business with image consulting.

But not everyone was convinced it was such a good idea.

"If you really think making yourselves busier is the solution, that makes no sense," said Gayle Giacomo, owner of the Gatsby Salon and Bridgewater resident.

"You can't even handle the task of doing someone's hair and makeup, and going home," said manager Christy Pereira.

But DiMarco and Sharpe were adament that they could make it work, creating an image consulting business as part of Gatsby 2 Go—and they hoped that this would ensure they would not lose the business itself to their assistants.

Sharpe tried to convince Giacomo that they were focused on the Gatsby Salon.

"We are loyal to you," she said.

For Giacomo, she was especially concerned that the girls would be way too over-the-top in the image consulting, creating styles that were age-inappropriate.

But, in a trial run granted by Giacomo because it would be good for business, DiMarco and Sharpe did prove her wrong when they made over a local client, fixing her hair and makeup and helping her buy new clothes.

And Giacomo admitted they did a good job.

"I was about to fire you, but you did a really great job, and you're making an effort, and I can see that," she said. "I am going to add this to our menu."
