Doctors Express Celebrates First Anniversary, Offers Free Blood Pressure Screening

The Bound Brook office of Doctors Express (www.doctorsexpress.com), an exciting new concept in urgent medical care, will celebrate the first anniversary of its opening and the appointment of a new Medical Director by offering free blood pressure screening throughout the month of February – American Heart Month.

“Our concept is to provide quality medical care right in your own neighborhood when you need it the most,” says Mark Zenz, Operator of the Bound Brook office.  “Residents of Central New Jersey now have access to urgent medical care 365 days a year without having to wait for an appointment or visit a busy, crowded hospital emergency room for treatment of acute illness and injury, including lacerations, minor fractures, bruises, sprains, ear pain or upper respiratory infections.

According to a recent study by the American College of Emergency Physicians, New Jersey ranks 47th nationally in ER wait times.  “If you need urgent care on a weekend or after your family physician’s normal office hours, or if you are unable to get an immediate appointment, you can walk right in and be seen and treated right away,” says Zenz.  “Our office contains a fully equipped onsite laboratory and X-ray facilities and is staffed 365 days a year by highly trained medical doctors along with medical assistants and technicians.”

Residents of Central New Jersey are invited to tour the facility and meet Dr. Nader Habib, MD, who was recently named Medical Director of the Bound Brook office of Doctors Express.  Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Habib received his MD from Mansoura University in Mansoura, Egypt (www.mans.edu.eg/en) in 1998.  He completed his residency at Harlem Hospital Center in New York (www.nyc.gov/html/hhc/harlem/html/home), a modern 286-bed hospital that provides a broad array of preventive, primary and acute care services to a diversified population, and his specialty training in Family Medicine at Southern Illinois University’s SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL (www.siuhealthcare.org).

After practicing Primary Care Medicine in Naugatuck, CT for two years, Dr. Habib accepted a position with St. Vincent’s Medical Center (www.stvincents.org), a 397-bed acute care Catholic hospital in Bridgeport, CT, where he practiced Urgent Care Medicine for four years before joining Doctors Express in Bound Brook.

Doctors Express accepts most major medical insurance, including Medicare.  “Even if you have no insurance, our rates are reasonable and we will work with you to minimize your out-of-pocket costs,” says Zenz.  “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for patients to take advantage of the services we offer whenever they need them.  We want patients to Get In, Get Out, and Get Better”
