The , on Van Veghten Drive, is hosting Bob Gleason, of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society, in a special program Saturday about ... lighthouses! The program will be held at 2 p.m., at a cost of $5. So in honor of the program, and to get everyone excited, we present a list of five of the best known 11 lighthouses in New Jersey.

- Cape May Lighthouse—The lighthouse is 157.5 feet tall, and stands in Cape May City, toward the edge of New Jersey.
- Barnegat Lighthouse—Located at the northern tip of Long Beach Island, the lighthouse is the centerpiece of the state park there.
- Sandy Hook Lighthouse—It celebrated its 200th anniversary in 1964, and in 1996, its ownership was transferred from the Coast Guard to the National Park Service.
- Chapel Hill Lighthouse—The lighthouse is currently on private property, purchased by a Manhattan businessman in 1959, which brought the government $16,313.
- Statue of Liberty—Of course the most well-known of all, it was an aid to navigation until 1902.
